One-hundred percent exemption of port entry and departure fees for cargo

Stevedoring fees are subsidized for shipping liners calling at Gwangyang Port according to certain criteria.

Period : January 1, 2005 to December 31, 2007 (3 years)

Shipping liner which newly calls at Gwangyang Port
When handling annual cargo of 50,000 TEU and more, a certain percentage of stevedoring fees (Initial year 50%) is subsidized according to the annual cargo volume processed.

Existing shipping liner
Subsidies are provided according to either the increase in cargo volume or the processed volume.

Feeder shipping liner
20% of the stevedoring fee per TEU for the volume processed in the corresponding year

Tramper liner
20% of the stevedoring fee per TEU when the annual volume processed is 30,000 TEU or more.

The world’s first port mileage system that pays subsidies to port customers (shippers, shipping liners, forwarders, etc.) who create new cargo shipments. Port customers can accumulate mileage with the KGPS (Korea Gwangyang Port Suhyup) card, issued by Suhyup, the National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives, and apply it to payment of various port and logistics charges.

Period : From January 1, 2006 to the date when 3 million TEU is reached
