The port of Gwangyang retains a container terminal of 16 berths. In the future, it will have 34 berths that run a total of 11km in length and 600m in width, and it will handle 12.45 million TEU of cargo annually and will grow up to be a Northeast-Asia logistics hub port. |

| Railroad |
The Gyeongjeon Line running north and south and the Jeolla Line running west and east are currently in operation. The Jeolla Line, Gyeongjeon Line, and Seonam Line will be improved and double tracked, and more lines are planned. East-side freight railroad station of Gwangyang Port that connected to the container terminal handles 200,000 TEU of cargo annually, and when the west-side freight railroad station is completed in 2009, the cargo volume shipped by rail will increase. |
